SDG Assessment
The various indicators on MyFairMoney provide different perspectives to help you align your investments with your personal sustainability goals. Whether you aim to create real-world impact, invest according to your values, or assess ESG performance, these tools offer insights tailored to your specific objectives. Understanding the purpose of each indicator can guide you in making informed and meaningful investment choices.
The SDG Assessment Score evaluates how well a fund’s underlying companies align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as climate action, clean water, or quality education. The score is calculated as a weighted average of each holding’s SDG Solutions Score, which reflects its most significant positive and negative contributions to the SDGs. Scores range from -10 to +10. A higher SDG Assessment Score indicates a greater average share of investments in companies with a net positive contribution to SDG-aligned solutions.
However, this is not an indicator of the real-world impact or contribution of the fund in making companies more sustainable or causing positive change in the real economy (see also the video on the difference between alignment and impact in the bottom section on this page). This indicator may be more suitable for investors who want to be in line with their values and therefore want to invest in companies which in average contribute positively to the SDGs. A high SDG Assessment Score can help ensure that, on average, investments are made in companies with a net positive contribution to the SDGs; however, it does not indicate that any change in company behaviour (an 'impact') has occurred as a result of the investment.

ISS ESG Fund Rating
The rating of our partner ISS ESG ranges from 0 to 100, whereby 100 stands for "very good". The ISS ESG performance score represents an absolute ESG rating of the fund. For the calculation, the individual ratings of companies in the areas of environment, social affairs and corporate governance are combined and aggregated at fund level. The ISS ESG Performance Score therefore differs from the ISS ESG Fund Rating, as here stars are awarded relative to the Lipper Global Benchmark Class and thus a fund with a low ISS ESG Performance Score can also receive several stars in case of doubt. (Data source: ISS ESG)
Neither the ISS ESG performance score nor the fund rating can be used to infer the sustainability impact of the fund.
