SDG Assessment
The SDG Assessment score reflects how well the companies in a fund align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as climate action, quality education, or clean water. The score is based on a weighted average of the fund holdings' SDG Solutions Score values and ranges on a scale from -10.0 to 10.0. For each holding, the SDG Solutions Score sums its highest positive and lowest negative impact on the SDGs, ranging from -10 to +10.
A higher SDG Assessment score indicates a greater average share of investments in companies with a net positive contribution to the SDGs. However, this is not an indicator of the fund's impact to have made companies more sustainable or to make them more sustainable in the future. Climate Stewardship Direct dialogue with a company and the exercise of voting rights has been shown to be one of the most effective strategies for positive climate impact by investors. The British NGO InfluenceMap has rated large asset managers in terms of their climate influence (so-called climate stewardship). The better an asset manager's climate stewardship, the better the rating. Both company data and external data were used for this purpose. The rating is the same for all funds of the asset manager.
