Our proactive approach to enhancing market value for portfolio companies is guided by our vision of "Beyond Profit." As ESG maturity grows, we strengthen portfolio resilience and accelerate growth, ultimately benefiting shareholder value. We understand that companies measuring their ESG impact within their industry receive increased valuation and enhanced access to capital, highlighting the significance of aligning capital allocation with long-term returns. Improved income, reduced costs, and advanced risk management contribute to better market valuations. Our strategy focuses on tailoring ESG initiatives to each company’s needs and integrating relevant ESG aspects across all areas of value creation to support long-term value generation. Our ESG strategy, "Beyond Profit," is built on three pillars: sustainable growth, environmental resilience, and fair and equal business practices. Within each pillar, we have defined overarching ambitions and goals for Innova Capital, translated into concrete actions for our portfolio companies. Our priority is to support companies in ESG transformation by providing expertise, tools, and frameworks along this journey.
  • IPAF Rating The IPAF successively assesses two dimensions of the impact potential of financial products. First, it assesses the (maximum) impact potential of financial products based on impact mechanisms they supposedly apply (in relation to communicated elements in marketing documents). Those impact mechanisms are the ones widely documented by academic research: Grow new/undersupplied markets ; Provide flexible capital ; Engage actively ; Send (market and nonmarket) signals. Second, it evaluates the implementation of that impact potential based on the intensity with which financial products action the various impact mechanisms in connection to success factors documented by academic research. At the end of the scoring process, the IPAF delivers an Impact Potential Score.
The Impact Potential Score is then transformed into an Impact Potential Rating that goes from A (products with highest impact potential) to G (products with lowest impact potential).
